Feather Pen

All done!

Well its not my prettiest pen I have made, infact its probably one of my ugliest ... lol, but it gives ya a good idea of how to make your own.

If you do make one I would love to see it. Just post a link by clicking on the Comments link so me and others can see it.

Thanks and Happy Turnings,
Shane Whitlock

I especially like your use of general tools to complete tasks as well. Just Like myself I prefer to use or make tools to do the same job such as the pen press. (why buy one? if you can make it yourself or use something similar) You use an old drill press with jigs and I use a quick clamp with jigs as well. Brilliant.

Feather Pen

Thanks for the great feather pen tutorial. I've been a bit of a wood snob, but the feather pen is making me re-think that. Being a fly-tyer I have a lot of pretty feathers laying around...

Awesome tutorial

Thank you so much for putting together this great tutorial. Makes it look almost doable. I have got to give it a try one of these days when I get set up to do casting.
