Mold

I make my molds out of 1 inch wide sheetmetal that's just a little longer than the blank. I use sheetmetal tape and tape it together.

In the background you can see a few more feather blanks.

I just began turning pens in February and I am loving it!!
It has been one of my hopes to make feather pen blanks and now that I know they are being made and, have had my first lesson from you, I'm ready, willing and able to begin!

Please enlighten me, if you would, how to make the molds using Sheet Metal.

Also, if you have tips on an inexpensive way I can take excellent, clear photo's of my pens, that would wonderful.

I'm so passionate about this craft and I'm grateful, humbled and eager to learn more!

Thanks so much, Shane.(By the way, nice name!! LOL)

May God bless you always and in all ways,
Susan
