hey shane, very nice work on these restorations. thanks for sharing them. today i finally moved my grandfather's old rockwell delta 8in jointer from his old shop after sitting for many years. the property has been vacant for 10 or so years, and vandals have been trashing the place. i managed to move the delta cabinet saw and delta shaper about 5 years ago, but the jointer was just too heavy. i now have a liftgate box truck so that helped. i have been semi-restoring the table saw and shaper but use them way too much to finish the paint jobs. i rewired the 50+ year old wiring, and will start work on disasembling the jointer. i still have 3 radial arm saws up at the shop. 1 is so big, it must weigh a 1000lbs. my dad and granddaddy built in into the side of the shop wall bench which is about 40 feet long. the other two are smaller, but will take four people to move. i am not sure which one to take, i would love to bring home the big one if i have room(and approval of wife of course). these tools were bought in 50's my granddaddy said, but not sure what year they all are. the name plates dont have model no's, only serial numbers. the cabinet saw and shaper run like new, it is a wonderful feeling to own these knowing that my dad and grandfather built hundreds of home with these tools. if you have any links to any other restoration projects, please let me know. thanks again for you wonderful work, keep it up!!. manzarek@worldnet.att.net
