1950's Craftsman 8 inch Table Saw

A 1950's 8 Inch Craftsman Table Saw Model 103.22161

My first table saw, given to me about 25 years ago and its still my favorite saw. Runs great, it's quite, and very smooth.

It was starting to look a little used and abused so I replaced the bearings, stripped it down to bare metal and painted it the original Craftsman color.

Thanks to a couple of OWWM members I have an original motor mount, fence and rail (not pictured).

I have received many emails asking what color I used for the saw. To be honest with ya I don't know. When I dismantled the saw one of the legs had very good paint on the inside of it where two sections of the legs overlapped each other. I took that to an auto paint store and had them scan it with a digital paint scanner and then they custom mixed up a few cans a paint. The receipt they gave me has no color code on it .. sorry, but I'm sure you could do the same thing at your auto paint store.

Good luck,
Shane
