http://shanewhitlock.com/photo/v/wood/pens/feather_tut/IMG_0494.jpg.html Fill it up so all the feathers are covered and examine it closely for any bubbles. If I find any I take a small brass rod (toothpick works good too) and move it around the bubbles until they float to the top.
